I found Katie by absolute chance and luck as I started to explore the idea of having a doula again for my second birth. As a single parent, it was important for me to find a doula that understood how much I truly needed her during the labor process. Katie has a kind, accepting, and warm energy that made me feel at ease immediately. During our prenatal appointment, she asked all the right questions to help prepare me for labor, and she had done her research on the hospital I delivered at which really impressed me. Katie has great attention to detail, has learned some amazing techniques to support mama’s in labor, which we used during mine. Where do I even begin! To say that Katie Mae is an incredible doula would be selling her short. Stumbling on her service was an absolute gift. Upon first meeting with Katie Mae, my partner and I knew that she was the right doula to invite to our birth. She radiates calmness and has a gift for truly seeing and connecting with others. Her knowledge, passion, and reverence for birth are so evident. On the day of our son’s birth, Katie intuitively stepped in right where we needed her. She was present and unbelievably helpful, yet at the same time held space for my partner and I to connect and bring our baby earth side together. She brought confidence, knowledge, and helping hands to such an intense birth and for that we are so grateful. After our baby was born she celebrated with us and allowed my partner and I the space to connect as a new family of three, while she went above and beyond to help make sure we were fed, packed up, and had what we needed. Katie Mae brings balance, confidence, and calm. She has the innate gift of being able to read people and situations so well, and intuitively steps in to where she is needed. Our gratitude is endless. We will not hesitate to call her the next time we are pregnant!

Katie was an absolute delight! She helped me organize my life and was amazing with my twins. She sang to them, read to them, and was just really present with them. I trusted her at a time when we weren't allowing anyone else to meet the twins due to corona virus, and my trust was not misplaced. You would be lucky to have Katie be part of your household!!
